Welcome to the lost art of the affordable residential
For many schools, being able to run their own affordable and inclusive residential visits has become a lost art! It can and should be revived! This service is designed to be of particular, but not exclusive, interest to schools serving areas of deprivation.
I have a passionate belief in the value of the residential experience for all children but
especially those from more deprived or dysfunctional backgrounds. These children are often denied this fantastic experience either because of cost, or lack of parental support. So often it is the children who would benefit most who miss out. It needs determination, but no one needs to be left behind.
I have created and run a programme of four inclusive and affordable residential visits for schools serving two of the most deprived estates in Devon. I am happy to work with one or two more schools in challenging circumstances who would like to use that full service, and am available to support others.
I can help at various levels from advice on risk assessment, to staffing, finance, venues, menus and free ‘activities’: Or I can lead the whole experience with the children fully engaged and having a great time from breakfast to bedtime. Let me know if you would like a ‘no obligation’ chat.
