Creating Wild Play Opportunities

I have run this workshop variously for an Institute of Learning Outdoor Education Conference, as a twilight course for school representatives and for an individual school as part of their INSET programme.

I aim to encourage schools to use value play in wild areas for what the children learn and experience (at least as part of a curriculum based day out) and to make the most of the landscape and opportunities on their door step. Understanding the nature of risk alongside the benefits ois an important part of the approach with a view to liberation rather than restriction!
